Recognition of "RotaKids" as an Authorized District-Led Rotary Family Youth Program
Proposer(s): Rotary Club of Pitesti, District 2241, Romania & Republic of Moldova
Small Hands. Big Change.
This resolution seeks to bridge the gap between the grassroots success of RotaKids and the need for a unified identity. By clarifying that responsibility remains at the District level, we address Rotary International’s primary concern regarding legal liability. This allows Rotary International to inspire youth without the administrative burden of a centrally managed "Structured Program" like Interact, while creating a clear pathway for protecting the brand and making the existing global domains available under terms acceptable to RI.
This recognition also ensures that the program's continued growth, already documented across verified clubs in multiple regions worldwide, benefits from the credibility and consistency that only official Rotary recognition can provide.
The complete governance framework supporting this resolution, including the Standard RotaKids Club Constitution, Standard Bylaws, Statement of Policy, Safeguarding Framework, and supporting documentation, is publicly available at rotakids.org/resolution/
This resolution aligns directly with the 2026-2027 Rotary Presidential Message, Create Lasting Impact. Recognizing RotaKids is an investment in the most lasting impact Rotary can make: shaping the next generation of service-oriented leaders from their earliest years.
No substantial financial impact anticipated for Rotary International.
Detailed documentation demonstrating implementation feasibility, standardization, and safeguarding.
Foundational governance defining the club's name, purpose, and relationship with the District.
